During our Sunday morning gathering, we offer nursery for your children from birth (or when you’re comfortable) through 2 years of age. This is offered at every weekend gathering and Sunday School.
Children 3 years old through 2nd grade are dismissed in the middle of the worship service to enjoy a Bible lesson, arts, and crafts.
Sundays from 10:45(ish)- 11:30am
Elementary-age students have a Bible lesson and a craft.
Middle Schoolers gather to have discussions based on the sermon and how the Bible applies to and shapes their lives. This is a relaxed space where you can ask any questions you have without judgment.
Sundays from 10:45(ish)- 11:30am
High Schoolers and Adults will gather together in smaller groups for a time of connecting and conversing about life, the sermon, what questions you have, and anything else that comes up. It is a relaxing space for you to be open and honest about your life with Jesus.
During our ministry season (Labor Day-ish and the end of April), on Wednesday evenings from 5:00-6:30 pm we offer a free meal to all who want to join. This meal is open to anyone in the community regardless of whether you take part in any of Vriesland’s Wednesday night ministries.
Vriesland believes that these years are the most formative years of a child’s life. We desire to help families build their child’s life on the firm foundation of faith in Christ.
Children’s ministries take place on Wednesday nights from Mid-September - End of April.
PreK, Young 5’s, Kindergarten
This is an opportunity for younger ones to have a place to go on Wednesdays. They will hear a short Bible Story and engage in fun activities.
1st-5th Grade girls.
GEMS stands for Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior and that is the goal of this ministry. At GEMS, girls learn Bible stories, collect badges for developing various skills, have large and small group times, and make a craft.
1st-5th Grade boys.
The goal of Cadets is to help boys grow spiritually, physically, and socially through a structured program of Bible study, badge collection for various competencies, projects, and activities.
Every summer we invite incoming preschoolers through 5th graders to our Vacation Bible School. We have a new theme every year, but the core remains the same. We want the children in our community to come to know and love Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Sign-ups come out each spring.
Our goal is to provide a welcoming space where students can gather in community, be guided in sound doctrine, and grow in their faith formation. Our deepest desire is for every student to know Jesus, love Jesus, and become lifelong followers of Jesus.
Offered during the school year.
On Tuesday mornings at 6:30 am, High Schoolers get together for a time of reading and growing in God’s Word— not so we can just know the Bible, but to know God deeper.
6:30-7:45pm
We meet to make much of Jesus in our lives. We love to have fun, but we are also committed to equipping students to go out from the walls of the church live for Jesus and proclaim the gospel to the world around them.
7:45-9:00 pm
We gather for a time of laughter, worship, small groups, and ultimately spending time in God’s word to grow deeper in our personal relationship with God. We equip our students to look less like the world, and more like Jesus so they can go out from the walls of the church and boldly live for Christ in a world that deeply needs Jesus.
Our Middle and High School Youth Groups separately attend an awesome weekend retreat at CranHill Ranch each year. Dates and sign-ups for these retreats are released each fall.
Every summer, our High School Youth Group goes on a mission trip to serve a community in need. Details are released as they become available.
Periodically we offer a multi-generational mission trip so our youth can get more connected with and serve alongside the adults in our congregation.
Ladies meet monthly from September-June on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 9:30-11:00 am. They gather to finish up quilts that are given to missions while having good fellowship together.
